Partial Hospitalization Programs ( PHP) Treatment
PHP Programs are appropriate for individuals recently discharged from an inpatient or residential program or struggling to complete daily activities such as work or school and would benefit from a five-day a week structured environment. MHF offers PHP services for individuals suffering from an eating disorder, mental health issues, and substance use disorders.
Individuals admitted to a PHP program will receive treatment five days a week for at least five hours per day. Treatment is highly individualized. All programs include psychiatric services rendered by a board certified psychiatrist, nursing care provided by a psychiatric APRN, individual psychotherapy, cognitive group therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family therapy ( as needed), career counseling ( if appropriate ), and nutrition therapy. The Eating Disorder PHP includes body image and movement therapy, art therapy, meal support, and cooking classes. Substance use programs include relapse prevention, substance abuse groups, and access to a psychiatrist board certified in addiction. PHP Programs run from 11 AM to 7PM. Lunch and dinner are served on site.
Emphasis on Community
The Mindful Health Foundation’s community of healing includes other recovering individuals on their own journeys. This communal healing environment provides a deeper level of support that enhances the treatment experience. Participants learn to reduce isolation and engage in a supportive community. The therapeutic community emphasizes teamwork and growth and takes on added importance after re-entry into life. The Mindful Health Foundation’s treatment facility feels less like a treatment center and more like a comfortable family setting, so participants can feel supported while working together to achieve their own goals for lasting recovery.
Participants are supported in a nutritious lunch, snack & dinner with the assistance and support of a Registered Dietitian.
